CME Requirements

Minnesota physicians are required to complete 75 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ CME per licensure cycle.

Topics
 Physicians with the authority to prescribe controlled substances are required to earn at least 2 CME credit hours on best practices in prescribing opioids and controlled substances between Jan. 1, 2020 and Dec. 31, 2022.

    • Rate: Based on secondary market yield of one year U.S. Treasury bills, calculated annually by state court administrator. Amount rounded to nearest 1% or 4%, whichever is greater. Interest computed as simple interest per annum.

One-party or two-party state

Minnesota is a one-party state.

It is a criminal offense to use any device to record, obtain, share, or use communications, whether they are wire, oral, or electronic, without the consent of at least one person taking part in the communication. This means that in Minnesota you are legally allowed to record a conversation if you are a contributor, or with prior consent from one of the involved parties, barring any criminal intent. Minn. Stat. § 626A.02
